What are the maximum players we can bring to 5v5 event?

The maximum players allowed in your squad are 8. We recommend 7 players per squad to give each player a reasonable amount of playing time.  

 

What is the playing surface?

The playing surface is 3G, all players should wear moulded, or astro turf footwear.

Can we bring pets?

No pets are allowed on the venue.

What is the level and layout of the Tournament?

We accept all levels. Depending on numbers attending a specific age group we usually do one of the following;

A.

We usually start with a league format, and target 5 or 6 teams per league. Leagues are usually streamed occasionally having one, two or three separate events within any specific age group. You will usually be placed depending on ability, league you play, or suggested level.

B.

Grouped, followed by tournament splitting into two separate knockout events.

Teams finishing higher in the provisional leagues competing for the main cup, lower placed teams in provisional league competing for a plate trophy 

 

C.

Grouped followed by knockout.

What makes our tournament special?

We give you the possibility to play against teams you normally don’t meet during the season. Sometimes streamed into, Elite, Average and Below average, this gives the opportunity to be involved in an event where all game are tough for the ability of your team, and reduces the possibility of an elite team playing a below average team, thus giving all team the possibility of winning a trophy. 

 

What is the set up of the tournament? 

Unless otherwise directed 

On Saturday teams should arrive 60 minutes before kick off. Parking can be difficult due to the popularity of the event.

The games in the group will take place. All teams will be usually split up in groups of 6 teams, so that you play a minimum of 5 games. (45/50 minutes football minimum)

All the qualifying teams will then advance to the knockout stages of the tournament. The winners and runners up of  U8's through to U13's from knockout stages, will receive respective medals. Additionally all Under 6’s and Under 7’s playing in the festival will  also receive medals.

How much is the registration fee and what is included?

The fee is £37.50, and this gives teams the right to participate at the tournament

Coaches don’t have to pay an entrance fee

When will the schedule be sent out?

The information will be sent out on 20th December 2019. This allows any last minutes changes (additions, cancellation, and replacements) to be put in place. Our experience leads towards making late amendment, we believe this gives the best possible  chance of a positive outcome on the day of the event, allowing for smooth change overs, efficiency and maximum turn out from those that have entered. 

 

The match schedule will be out on the day you arrive at the tournament and  potentially published online.
